Purpose of the website and acceptance of these terms

EestiStat (eestistat.com) presents public statistics by municipality and by region. By using the website, you accept this legal notice and the privacy policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.

Nature of the information

The information published consists of public statistics compiled from official open data. It is provided for general information purposes only and on an “as is” basis: it may differ from the original publications, be incomplete, contain errors or be out of date. The publisher gives no warranty as to its accuracy, completeness or currency.

It does not in any circumstances constitute professional advice, in particular financial, property, energy, legal, tax or other advice. Before making any decision, check the information against the official source and, where necessary, with a qualified professional.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALTI SAS is not liable for decisions taken on the basis of the information on the website, for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data, of opportunity or of profit, for any interruption or malfunction of the website, or for the content of third-party websites to which it links.

Nothing in this notice excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law, in particular in cases of fraud or wilful misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury, or any rights that the law grants to consumers and that cannot be waived.

Data sources and licences

Each data source, its licence and its attribution are set out on the Sources page. The original data remain subject to the licences of their producers, and the attribution notices must be respected. Where data have been formatted, aggregated or recalculated, the results may differ from the original publications, and the producers of the original data are not responsible for those modifications. Place names come from Wikidata (CC0 licence).

Intellectual property and database rights

The texts, presentation, organisation, graphics, code and compilation of the data on the website belong to ALTI SAS, without prejudice to the rights of third parties in the data and content that it reuses. Brief quotation is permitted, provided that EestiStat is credited as the source with a link to the page concerned.

Any extraction or re-utilisation of a substantial part, in quantitative or qualitative terms, of the database constituted by the website, and any repeated and systematic extraction of insubstantial parts exceeding normal use, is prohibited without the prior written consent of ALTI SAS (articles L341-1 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code). This prohibition does not apply to the indexing of the website by search engines, or to citations by search or assistant services that link back to the website.

The photographs are used under licence: they may not be extracted, copied or reused separately from the website. The coats of arms and flags come from Wikimedia Commons, under the licences and with the credits shown on the Sources page; they are shown for identification purposes only, with no connection to any authority and with no official status. Hyperlinks

The website may link to third-party websites, whose content and practices ALTI SAS does not control and for which it is not responsible. Linking to the website is permitted, provided that the link does not suggest a partnership or endorsement, does not distort the content and does not display it within another page.

Advertising

The website displays advertisements served by third parties (Google AdSense). They are presented as advertising. Their display does not constitute a recommendation or endorsement of the products, services or websites advertised, for which ALTI SAS is not responsible. Reporting, correction and right of reply

To report an error, request a correction or report content that you consider unlawful, use the contact form, stating the address of the page and what the issue is. The website does not publish any content supplied by third parties.

Any person named or identified on the website has a right of reply under the conditions of Article 1-1 III of French Law No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004: the request is addressed to the publication director, via the contact form, within three months of the contested message being made available.

Personal data

The website does not require an account. Visits are measured without cookies; advertising cookies are used only with your consent; data entered in the contact form is used solely to reply to you. Details, your rights and how to exercise them are set out in the privacy policy.

Availability of the website and changes to this notice

The website is made available without any guarantee of continuous availability: access, content and functions may be changed, suspended or interrupted at any time, in particular for maintenance. ALTI SAS may amend this legal notice at any time; only the online version applies.

Governing law, jurisdiction and language

Subject to mandatory rules protecting consumers, in particular those allowing them to bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence, any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the courts with jurisdiction over the registered office of ALTI SAS.

If any provision of this notice is held to be void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in force. The French version of this notice prevails; translations are provided for information only.
